aero glass theme does not work

i installed vista beta 2 build 5384 on my athlon 64 3700+ 2.41 GHZ 512 RAm hd 200 GB nvidia geforce FX 5500 256 mb but when i click on APPLY for windows aero style on display preference my monitor starts to "floating", pictures on screen flashing and i must return to windows basic....i can i do ?!?!?!??! please someone help me...drivers of both nvidia card and monitor are updated with vista drivers....

Do you have the latest X2 drivers from the AMD Website installed for your AMD CPU chip?

Unless he incorrectly stated his CPU, he does not have an X2...so the driver would not help him, correct?

You are problably correct I misread the OP's first post about his 2.42 GHZ chip to be a athlon 64 X2 chip.
